We appreciate all people who came out and supported the Red Cross by donating blood or volunteering at Super Donor Days June 30 & July 1 at Shopko Hall, Green Bay.
We did fall short of our goal by 44 pints, but the 371 pints we did collect enabled us to get through the Fourth of July Holiday weekend with a safe and ready blood supply at our local hospitals.
Special thanks to our sponsors including Bellin Health, PMI Entertainment Group, Genco, Glass Nickel Pizza Co., WFRV-TV 5, Green Bay Packers who helped make this event possible. New this year, entertainment while the people donated. We had piano players, guitarists, singers, including Miss Wisconsin, Kimberly Sawyer and small musical groups perform over the two days.
If you did not get the chance to donate blood at Super Donor Days, there are a number of opportunities this summer to still donate. To schedule an appointment or to find a blood drive that fits into your schedule go to www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543).
